The length of the fence of a trapezium shaped field ABCD is 130 meter and side AB is perpendicular to each of the parallel side AD and BC. If BC= 54 centimetres CD=19 meter and AD= 42 meter, find the area of the field. This solution of the question.

so area of trapezium =1//2 x h x (a+b)

so perimeter of trapezium=a+b+c+d

so  if a side is perpendicular,then that is the height of the trapezium+ab

so ab=19+54+42+ab=130

ab=-130-115

ab=15m

so now area of trapezium=1/2 x 15 (42+19)

area=1/2 x 915

=457.5 m square
