Here's the answer

We know that ,

The longest chord of the circle is called as Diameter.

Diameter is double the radius.

 {\underline {\sf { Diameter = 2 × radius}}}

Therefore,
According to the question ,

Diameter = 17 cm

Radius = ?

 \sf{ \therefore \: Radius =  \frac{17}{2}}

 \sf{Radius = 8.5 cm}

Thus, Radius of the circle is 8.5 cm
