 \bf AnswEr:

 \sf The \:  area \:  of \:  the \:  rectangle =  {27}cm^ {2}

 \bf Given :

The length of a rectangle is three times its width the perimeter of the rectangle is 24cm.

 \bf Need  \: To \:  Find:

Area of the rectangle = ?

 \bf \: ExPlanation:

Let , Breadth of the rectangle be x.

Formula used here :

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( L + B )

Putting the values according to the given formula :

24 = 2 (3 + x )

12 = 14x

x = 3 cm

Therefore :

The length and breadth of the rectangle are 9 cm and 3 cm .

Again , Formula used here :

Are of rectangle = Length × Breadth

Putting the values according to the given formula :

Area of rectangle = 9 × 3

 \sf ➠ Area  \: of  \: rectangle \:  =  {27}cm^{2}

Therefore :

 \sf \: The  \: area  \: of \:  the \:  rectangle  \: is  \: 27 \:  Cm².
