Answer:

heyyaa mate!!

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

The perimeter of rectangle = 154m

The length exceeds breadth by 9m

To find:

Length and breadth of the rectangle

Solution:

Let us take l,b as length and breadth of the rectangle.

From given,we can write,

l = b + 9

Perimeter of the rectangle = 2 (l+b)

2 (l+b) = 154m

l +b = 154/2

l + b = 77

Substitute the value of l ,

b +9 + b = 77

2b = 77 -9

2b = 68

b = 34 m

Substitute the value of b ,

l => 34 + 9

l => 43 m

The length and breadth of a rectangle are 43m,34m

Hi mate,

solution:

formula of perimeter of rectangle

= 2 ( L + B) .... 1)

here given that exceeds its breadth by 9 metre

perimeter of rectangle

= 2 ( L +( B + 9)) .... 2)

perimeter of rectangle is given

is 154 meter

hence,

154 = 2 ( L +( B + 9))

154/2 =( L +( B + 9))

77 = ( L +( B + 9)) .... 3)

let assume L = B

77 = B + B + 9

77 = 2B + 9

77/2 = B + 9

38.5 = B + 9

put B + 9 = 38.5 in equation 3)

77 = L + 38.5

L = 77 - 38.5 = 38.5

put value of L in equation ..... 3)

77 = 38.5 + ( B + 9)

77 - 38.5 = B + 9

38.5 = B + 9

38.5 - 9 = B

29.5 = B

by conclusion we can said that

length and breadth 38.5 & 29.5 respectively.

I hope it helps you..
