The length of the second hand of a laboratory clock is 0.1metre. Calculate the speed at the tip of the second hand

you didn't mention about time , for how much time we have to find speed at the tip of the second hand.

To understand, Let you we have to find speed at the tip of the second hand in 1 minute.

we know, 1 revolution of second hand = 60sec = 1 min

hence, distance travelled by second hand = 2πr , here r is length of second hand

so, distance = 2π × 0.1 = 0.2π m

speed = distance travelled/time

= 0.2π/60

= π/300 m/s

hence, speed at the tip of second hand in 1 minute is π/300 m/s
