Given :
The length of the side of square = x+2
and, the length of the side of equilateral triangle = 2x
To find :
The value of x .
Solution :
According to the question ,
perimeter of square = perimeter of the equilateral triangle
=> 4 * ( x + 2 ) = 3 * ( 2x )
=> 4x + 8 = 6x
=> 2x = 8
=> x = 4
The value of x is 4 .
