Question:-

the length of two parallel sides of the a trapezium are 4 m and 8m.If the perpendicular distance between them is 6 m, then the area of the trapezium is

Answer :-

We know that area of trapezium is:

1/2 ×(sum of parellel sides)×

perpendicular distance between parallel sides.

hence we put the value in formula ..

area of trapezium=1/2 ×(4+8)m×

6m

=1/2×12m×6m

= 36 m²

hence , the area of trapezium is 36m²
