Answer:

Let the third side be x.

Given that length of two sides are :6 cm and 8cm .

•So as we know that sum of two sides is always greater than the third side for any triangle to be formed .

So the condition is x is always less than than 14 cm (x<14)

•Also we know that any side of triangle is always greater than the difference of other two sides.

So the condition is x is always greater than 2 cm.(2<x)

Hence the third side always lie between 2 and 14

i.e 2<x<14

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

In triangle sum of 2 sides must be greater than the 3rd side.

So, the third is greater than 8 - 6 = 2 and also the third < 8 + 6 = 14.

So, the answer is 2 < third side < 14.

The third side lies between (2,14).
