hii!!!

here's ur answer...

given the height ( distance between the parallel sides) is 14cm.

let the two parallel sides be 7x and 5x.

area of the trapezium = 252cm²

therefore 1/2×h(b1+b2) = 252cm²

=> 1/2×14(7x+5x) = 252cm²

=> 7×12x = 252cm²

=> 12x = 252/7

=> 12x = 36

=> x = 36/12

=> x = 3

hence, length of the parallel sides are :-

→ 7x = 7×3

= 21cm

→ 5x = 5×3

= 15cm

VERIFICATION:-

area of the trapezium = 1/2×h(b1+b2)

= 1/2×14(21+15)

= 7×36

= 252cm²

hence verified

hope this helps..!
