The lengths of the sides of a triangle are 5 cm, 12 cm and 13 cm. Find the length of perpendicular from the opposite vertex to the side whose length is 12cm ???​

it is clear that the triangle is a right angled triangle.

Let AB=12 cm BC=5 cm and AC=12 cm

Now a perpendicular is drawn from A to AC.

ar(ABC)=½AB⋅BC=½CA• BD.BD=AB⋅BCCA

Putting the respective values of the sides we get,

B/D=60/12cm
