The lengths of the sides of a triangle are 5cm, 12cm,13cm. Find the length of the perpendicular from opposite vertex to the side 13cm long.

Area Of Triangle = Square Root Of (S(S-A)(S-B)(S-C))

Now S = 5+12+13/2 = 15

Now Simply,

Area = Square Root Of (15×10×3×2)

Area = Square Root Of (900)

Area = 30

Now Area Of Triangle = 1/2×Base×Height

Now Base = 13

Now,

1/2×13×Height = 30

13×Height = 60

Height = 60/13 = 4.61 cm
