7x = 24.5

x=24.5/7=3.5

Sides are 2x3.5 = 7cm and 6x3.5=21 cm respectively

Given :

The lengths of the sides of a triangle are in ratios 2:6:7 and the length of the longest side is 24.5 cm

To find :

Length of all sides

Solution:

The lengths of the sides of a triangle are in ratios 2:6:7

Let the ratio be x

So, Side 1 = 2x

Side 2 = 6x

Side 3 = 7x

The length of the longest side is 24.5 cm

So, 7x=24.5

x=\frac{24.5}{7}

x=3.5

Side 1 = 2x =2(3.5)=7 cm

Side 2 = 6x=6(3.5)=21 cm

Side 3 = 7x=7(3.5) = 24.5 cm

Hence The sides are 7 cm , 21 cm and 24.5 cm
