a triangle ABC has 3 sides and they have to satisfy the following. length of a side must be less the sum of the other two and more than the difference between the other two. Hence, the third side, has to be more than (15-12) = 3 cm. Also it has to be less than (15+12) = 27 cm

Let AB,BC and CA are the sides of triangle ABC

Given that,

Let AB=15cm,BC=12cm and Third side CA=?

Then, We know that

CA=AB−BC

CA=15−12

CA=3cm.

And

CA=AB+BC

CA=15+12

CA=27cm.

So the third side CA must lie between 3<CA<27cm.

Hence, this is the answer.
