Story writing.

Explanation:

I have always been a social person who cannot seem to live without friends. But sometimes even I used to wonder if they are truly my friends or they are with me just for the fun. My mother would sometimes tell me to try to be more serious in making friends and hang out with only those that I trust. But I have never done that until one incident left me seriously doubting my friend circle.

I had been invited to a birthday party of one of the said friends in another state. And as the open friend I was, I did not want to let him down so I took a ticket and went straight away, not minding the cost and expenses. The party was fun and I enjoyed a lot. Some day later, I went sightseeing with some more friends during which I lost my wallet and was thus left without any money. I was dejected yet I thought my friends will rally around me and hopefully spare me some for my stay and departure. But to my surprise, hardly anyone came up to offer me help. Except for a few guys, most of them began to tell me of their problems and couldn't help me financially. It was then I realized who my real friends are. They were ready to help me out in my need and that speaks volumes to their value in my eyes. I understood what my mother was trying to tell me and decided to make sure that I have friends who will he genuine. As the saying rightly goes "A friend in need is a friend in deed".
