From Thales Theorem ,we get,

$\sf{\implies \frac{AD}{DB} = \frac{AE}{EC}}$

$\sf{\implies \frac{DB}{EC} = \frac{AD}{AE} }$

( Hence,AE =2 AD =$\frac{AD}{AE}=[tex]\frac{1}{2}$ )

Therefore,

DB : EC = 1 : 2 [Proved]
