In the Δ ABC,

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀DE ll BC [Given]

From Thales Theorem ,we get,

\sf{\implies  \frac{AD}{DB}  =  \frac{AE}{EC}}

\sf{\implies  \frac{DB}{EC}  =  \frac{AD}{AE} }

( Hence,AE =2 AD =\frac{AD}{AE}=[tex]\frac{1}{2} )

Therefore,

DB : EC = 1 : 2 [Proved]
