Given ::

Height = 15CM
Diameter = 16CM = 16/2 = 8Cm
Radius = 8CM
Lateral Surface Area = ?

We know That

Lateral Surface Area = Pai × r √H² + R²

= 22/7×8√(15)²+(8)²
= 176/7√ 225 + 64
= 176/7 √ 289
= 176/7×17
= 2992/7
= 176CM2 Ans

Given:

Height of the cone = 15cm

Diameter of the cone = 16cm

To find:

LSA of the cone

Solution:

Since diameter is 16, thus radius will be -

r = d/2

r = 16/2

r = 8

Using the formula of LSA of Cone -

= πr√(r2 + h2)

Substituting the values -

= π × 8 √(8)² + (15)²

= π × 8 √ 64 + 225

= π × 8  √ 289

= π × 8  × 17

= 136π

Answer: The LSA of the cone is 136πcm²
