This is so because:

Tangent drawn from the point on field lines gives us it's direction.If two magnetic lines would meet each other then at the point of intersection two directions can be seen if tangents are drawn and it is not possible .

Hence no two magnetic field lines intersect each other at any point.

We knw that magnetic field lines have direction from north to south.So it would mean that at the point of intersection there is two directions of magnetic field and it would mean that if u place a compass on that point it should show two direction which we know can never happen.Hence they never intersect.
