Let AB be the ship and CD will be the hill.

Let BD = x m.

➡In ∆ABD,

10/x = tan 30°

10/x = 1/√3

x = 10/√3

➡In right ∆CEA,

h/AE = tan 60°

h/10√3 = √3/1

h= 30m

h of the hill = h+10 = 30+10=40m...
