Answer:

7660

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Marked price of saree = 9575

Shopkeeper allows 12% discount on the MP.

Discount = 12% of 9575

               = (12/100) * 9575

              = 1149

we know that,

Selling price = M.P - Discount

                    = 9575 - 1149

                    = 8426

Let the cost price of the saree = x.

Given that he still makes 10% profit.

Gain% = [(S.P - C.P)/CP] * 100

=> 10 = (8426 - x)/x] * 100

=> 10x = (8426 - x) * 100

=> 10x = 842600 - 100x

=> 110x = 842600

=> x = 7660

Therefore,

Cost price of the saree = 7660

Hope it helps!
