amount (inclusive of GST) paid by the shopkeeper = Rs 8496

Step-by-step explanation:

Let say Reduced Price at Which shopkeeper Bought article  = 100A

CGST = SGST = 18/2 = 9%

CGST = SGST = (9/100)100A = 9A

Amount (inclusive of GST) paid by the shopkeeper = 100A + 9A + 9A = 118A

Sold at Rs  9000

CGST = SGST = (9/100)9000 = Rs 810

shopkeeper paid Rs. 162 as CGST  to the government

=> 810 - 9A  = 162

=> 9A = 648

=> A = 72

amount (inclusive of GST) paid by the shopkeeper = 118 * 72

= 8496 Rs
