Sundarban is the marshy mangrove forest spread much across the coast of entire Bangladesh on the delta formed by Ganga (called Padma in Bangladesh), Brahmaputra (Jamuna), Meghna. The delta is named after the forest which comprises largely of the Mangrove tree Heritiera Fomes, locally called 'Sundari' or 'Sunder'.
