The correct answer is c
At STP 22400 cm3 contains 16 g of CH4
so 112 cm3 will contain = (112×16)/22400
= 0.08g

Answer : The mass of methane is 0.08 g.

Solution : Given,

Volume of methane gas = 112cm^3=112\times 10^{-3}L=0.112L      (1L=1000cm^3)

Molar mass of methane = 16 g/mole

1 mole of methane contains 16 g of methane.

At STP, 22.4 L occupy 1 mole of methane

As, 22.4 L will occupy 16 g of methane

0.112 L will occupy \frac{16}{22.4}\times 0.112=0.08g of methane

Therefore, the mass of methane is 0.08 g.
