The paradoxes of society that we live in are aptly featured in lost spring as due to the problem of overpopulation, it leads to the problem of unemployment. Due to such crises, it leads parents to let their children indulge in small professions to earn at a very early age. Such situations lead to the problem of child labor. As in the story lost spring in the first part, Alam has to separate the scrap and that scrap is like gold to him. Whereas, in the second part Mukesh is forced to work in a bangle company. In this story, the backward section of the society is considered to be weak and dull and doesn't have the opportunity to grow in society.
