The mass of a rocket is 500kg and relative velocity of gas ejecting out 250 m/s with respect to the rocket .determine the rate of burning of fuel on order to give the rocket an initial acceleration of 20m/s2 in the upward direction.

Acceleration = (0 - 50) /  5

Acceleration = -50 / 5

Acceleration = -10m/s^2
