The mass of CO2 obtained when 15g of coke is burnt in 32g of oxygen is (assume coke contains 100% Carbon)

mass of oxygen given 32gm

12 g C will combine with 32 g O2 to form 44 g CO2.

15 g C will combine with 32 g O2 to form Xg CO2

mass of CO2 formed will be 44 gm

3gm of coke will be left unused

as we need 32gm of oxygen for combustion of 12gm coke
