The maximum resistance that can be obtained using 5 resistors each of 1/5ohm a)1 ohm b)3 ohm c) 5 ohm d) 10ohm ...GIVE REASON PLEASE

To get the maximum resistance, we would need to connect them in series. Then 5*1/5= 1.

Jhingalalahuhu: Actually to calculate the resistance in series, we need to add them together. Since all the resistors were of the same resistance, i multiplied to do it faster.

Maximum resistance can be obtained when there is series connection...
So, Re = 1/5 + 1/5 + 1/5 + 1/5 + 1/5
= 5/5
= 1 ohm

Answer : a) 1 ohm
