Mean of 10 numbers = 16
Sum of 10 numbers = 16 x 10 = 160
When 36 is removed then the sum becomes = 160 - 36 = 124
And now 26 is added then the sum becomes = 124 + 26 = 150
Now new mean = sum of 10 numbers/10 = 150/10 = 15
Sum of 10 numbers = 16 x 10 = 160
When 36 is removed then the sum becomes = 160 - 36 = 124
And now 26 is added then the sum becomes = 124 + 26 = 150
Now new mean = sum of 10 numbers/10 = 150/10 = 15

mean= sum of observations \ total no of observations
accordingly given
16 = sum of observations \10
sum of observations = 160
New sum of observations= 160-36+26
=150
New mean= 15
