the mean of 10 observation is 15.3. If two observation 6&9 are replaced by 8 &14 respectively. find the new mean

gauravkg27: mean of 10 observations = 15.3 sum of 10 observations = 15.3*10 = 153. 6 and 9 are replaced by 8 and 14, it means the new sum(total) is increased by (8-6)+(14-9) I.e by 7 so the new sum or total = 153+7 = 160. so mean = 160/10 = 16
