Answer:

110

Step-by-step explanation:

100 = 60

double

100 = 200    60 = 120

200 = 120

subtract 10

200 = 190     120 = 110

so ans is = 110

Hope it helps. :)

The correct answer is 110.

Given: Mean = 60

Number of terms = 100.

To Find: New mean.

Solution:

Mean = \frac{Sum of terms}{Number of terms}

60 = \frac{Sum}{100}

Sum of terms = 60*100

Sum of terms = 6000

Now if each term is doubled then the sum will also be doubled.

New sum = sum*2

= 2*6000

New sum = 12000

Now if 10 is subtracted from each term then, there are 100 terms.

So total number subtracted is 10*100 = 1000

Final sum = New sum - 1000

= 12000-1000

= 11000

Final sum = 11000.

Mean = \frac{Sum of terms}{Number of terms}

= \frac{11000}{100}

Mean = 110

Hence, the new mean is 110.
