The mean of 100 observations is 60. If one observation of 50 is replaced by 110, then what will be the new mean.​

Mean of 100 observation =50

∴Total of 100 observation=100×60=6000

If one of the observation 50 is replaced by 150 than total of new observation is=6000−60+110= 6,050

Hence the mean of new 100 observation=

6050÷ 100= 60.5
