Given mean of 12 numbers is 12.5
Then the sum of 12 numbers = 12 × 12.5 = 150
Mean of first 6 numbers = 15
Then the sum of first 6 numbers = 6 × 15 = 90
Mean of last 5 numbers = 10
Then the sum of last 5 numbers = 5 × 10 = 50
Hence 6th number is = 150 - (90 + 50)
⇒ 150 - 140
= 10  Answer

Answer: 10

Step-by-step explanation:

Given mean of 12 numbers is 12.5

Then the sum of 12 numbers = 12 × 12.5 = 150

Mean of first 6 numbers = 15

Then the sum of first 6 numbers = 6 × 15 = 90

Mean of last 5 numbers = 10

Then the sum of last 5 numbers = 5 × 10 = 50

Hence 6th number is = 150 - (90 + 50)

⇒ 150 - 140

 Answer = 10
