mean =sum of all observation / total no of observation

8=sum of 16 numbers / 16

sum of 16 numbers =16×8 =128

if 2 is added to each number

then

sum of 16 new observations = 128+16×2

=160

new mean =160 /16=10

HEY DEAR here is your answer..

Answer:

10

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x1, x2, x3,.., x16 be the 16 numbers with their mean equal to 8. then,

mean = 1/n

8= x1, x2 +...+x16 / 16

x1 + x2+..x16= 16× =128

New numbers are x1+ 2 , x2+ 2 ,..., x16 +2

LET MEAN BE THE NEW NUMBERS . THEN,

Mean = (x1 +x2) +(x2 +2 ) +...+(x16 +2) / 16

=(128 +32)/16

=160/16 = 10

HOPE ITS HELPFULL
