mean=sum of obs/no.of obs

let the sum of obs =x

24=x/35

x=24*35

x=840

now 3 is added to each no

24*3+840

912

sum=912

no.of obs=24

mean=912/24

mean=38

therefore mean of the numbers after adding 3 to every number=38
