Given

→ Mean of ( 6 , 4 , 7 ,P , 10 ) = 17

As we know that Formula for mean is :-

 \frac{total \: value \: of \: item \: }{number \: of \: item \: }  \\

So Total value of item = 27 + P

Number of items = 5

 =  >  \:  \frac{27 + p}{5}  = 17 \\

 =  > 27 + p = 85 \\

=> P = 58 ✔️

Verification :-

  =  > \frac{6 + 4 + 7 + 58 + 10}{5}  \\

 =  >  \frac{85}{5}  = 17 \\

Hence verified ✔️
