$\frac{6 + 4 + 7 + p + 10}{5} = 17 \\ = > p + 27 = 85 \\ = > p = 85 - 27 = 58$

→ Mean of ( 6 , 4 , 7 ,P , 10 ) = 17

As we know that Formula for mean is :-

$\frac{total \: value \: of \: item \: }{number \: of \: item \: }$

So Total value of item = 27 + P

Number of items = 5

$= > \: \frac{27 + p}{5} = 17$

$= > 27 + p = 85$

=> P = 58 ✔️

Verification :-

$= > \frac{6 + 4 + 7 + 58 + 10}{5}$

$= > \frac{85}{5} = 17$
