Mean of 8 observations of a data set = 25

==> Mean = Sum of all observations / Number of observations

==> sum of all observations / 8 = 25

==> sum of all observations = 200

Now,

After adding 35 and 45 , number of observations = 10

And,

Sum of all observations, = 200 + 35 + 45

==> sum of all observations = 280

Now,

Mean = Sum of all observations / Number of observations

==> Mean = 280/10

==> Mean = 28

Hence, The new mean will be 28
