So,

(a+b+c+d+e)/5 = 22

a+b+c+d+e = 22 × 5

a+b+c+d+e = 110_____(1)

also Given

mean of a, c and e is 24

so,

(a+c+e)/3 = 24

a+c+e = 24 × 3

a+c+e = 72_____(2)

Now , by (1) - (2)

b+d = 110 - 72

b+d = 38

Now to find mean of b and d

mean = b + d / 2

mean = 38 /2

mean = 19
