mean of five numbers=27
so, sum of 5 numbers=27 x 5=135
let excluding number is x
now ,
sum of 4 numbers =135-x
mean=sum of 4 numbers/4=(135-x)/4
=> 27-2=(135-x)/4
=> 25 x 4=135-x
=> 100-135=-x
=> x=35
hence excluded number is 35

Here's ur answer

mean of 5 number = 27

sum of 5 number = 27×5

i.e = 135.

let the excluded number be x

sum of 4 numbers ( as 1 no is the excluded )

= 135 - x .

mean= sum of 4 numbers / 4

= 135 - x /4

=27-2 = 135 - x /4

=25 × 4 = 135 - x

= 100 = 135-x

= x= 35

Hence the excluded number is 35

hope it helps
