Given ,

Total Observations = x+8,x+6,x+4,x+2 and x

Number of observations = 5

Mean of the data = 24

mean \: = \: \frac{sum \: of \: observations}{number \: of \: observations \: }

[substitute the values]

24 \: = \: \frac{x + 8 + x+6 + x+4 + x+2 + x }{5}

24 = \frac{5x + 20}{5}

24\times5 = 5x + 20

120 = 5x + 20

120 - 20 = 5x

100 = 5x

100\div5 = x

x = 20

\boxed{Value\:of\:x\:=>\:20}
