mean \:  =  \frac{x + x + 3 + x + 6 + x + 9 + x + 12}{5}

10 =  \frac{5x + 30}{5}

5x + 30 = 50

5x = 50 - 30

x =  \frac{20}{5}

x = 4

The mean of x,x+3,x+6 ,x+9, and x+12 is 10

The mean of x,x+3,x+6 ,x+9, and x+12 is 10

[ (x)+(x+3)+(x+6)+(x+9)+(x+12)]/5 = 10

5x + 30 = 10 × 5

5x = 50 - 30

5x = 20

x = 20/5

x = 4

Verification Of Answer

The mean of x,x+3,x+6 ,x+9, and x+12 is 10

( Keep value of x )

[ (4)+(4+3)+(4+6)+(4+9)+(4+12)]/5 = 10

[ 20 + 30 ]/5 = 10

50 = 5 × 10

50 = 50

L.H.S. = R.H.S.
