The measure of a supplement of an angle is 12° greater than three times the measure of a complement. How do you find the measure of the angle?

let the angle be x

the other angle supplementary to it is 3x + 12

x + 3x +12 = 180

4x + 12 = 180

4x = 180 - 12

4x = 168

x = 168/4

x = 42
