The measure of the complement of an angle is one fifth the measure of the angle. What is the measure of each angle?

Let the angle be x deg


The other angle becomes 1/5x


Sum of complementary angles


x + 1/5 x = 90 deg


(5x+x)/ 5 = 90


6x = 450


x = 75deg


The other angle is 1/5(75) = 15 deg
