Hey mate!

Here is your answer > >

Let the adjacent sides of a rectangle be 11x and 10x

Perimeter of rectangle = 84 cm

But perimeter of rectangle = 2 (l+b)

2(l+b)=84

2 (11x+10x)=84

21x=42

x=2

Length=11x=22 cm

Breadth=10x=20 cm

Area=l×b=22×20=440 cm^2

Hope it helps!

\bf{\underline{Question:-}}

the measure of two adjacent sides of a rectangle are in the ratio of 11:10.if the perimeter of the rectangle is 84 cm ,find its area.

\bf{\underline{Given:-}}

  • Measure of two adjacent side is 11 : 10
  • perimeter is 84cm

\bf{\underline{To\:Find:-}}

  • Area = ?

\bf{\underline{Formula:-}}

\sf{\boxed{\pink{Perimeter\:of\: rectangle=2(Lenght+Breadth)}}}

\sf{\boxed{\pink{Area\:of\: rectangle=Lenght×Breadth}}}

\bf{\underline{Solution:-}}

  • Let all adjacent side ratio be in the form of X

So,

Side will be = 11x and 10x

  • By Perimeter Formula

\sf :→ 2(L + b ) = 84

\sf :→ 2 ( 11x + 10x ) =84

\sf :→ 2 ( 21x ) = 84

\sf :→ 42x = 84

\sf :→ x = \dfrac{84}{42}

\bf :→ x = 2

\bf{\underline{Now:-}}

  • Substituting value of X in adjacent sides

\sf :→ First\: adjacent\:side\:is\:11x = 11 × 2 = 22cm

\sf :→ Second\: adjacent\:side\:is\:10x= 10×2=20cm

\bf{\underline{Finding\:Area\:of\: Rectangle:-}}

  • By Area of rectangle Formula.

\sf :→ Area = Length × Breadth

\sf :→ Area = 22 × 20

\sf :→ Area = 440cm^2

\bf{\underline{Hence:-}}

  • The area of rectangle is 440cm²
