(1) The perimeter of the square = 60 cm

(2)The length of side of the square is =22 cm.

The area of the square=484 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

(1)

Square:

  1. The length of all sides are congruent.
  2. The length of diagonals are equal.
  3. The sum of all angles is 360°.
  4. Each angle is equal to 90°.
  5. The perimeter = 4×side.
  6. The area= side²

Given that the area of the square is 225 cm²

and the side = 15 cm

Therefore the perimeter of the square = (4×15) cm

                                                                 =60 cm

(2)

Perimeter= 88cm

Consider x be the length of the square.

Then perimeter = (4× x) cm

According to the problem,

4x=88

\Rightarrow x=\frac{88}{4}

⇒x=22

Therefore the length of side of the square is =22 cm.

The area of the square = 22² cm²

                                      =484 cm²
