Each student got 70 books for them.

Let total number of students be X and number of books that each student get be Y.

  • In 1st case, number of books that each students get = Y+10

Thus total number of new books added = 10X

Given, 10X = 800

∴ X=80.

Thus total number of students is 80.

  • In 2nd case, it is referred that if number of students reduces by 10, then each of the student will get Y+10 books each.

Total number of books = 70(Y+10) = 80Y

⇒70Y+700 = 80Y

⇒10Y = 700

Y = 70.

Thus, each student did get 70 books.

Answer:

Let total number of students be X and number of books that each student get be Y.

⚫ In 1st case, number of books that each students get = Y+10

Thus total number of new books added = 10X

Given, 10X = 800

.. X=80.

Thus total number of students is 80.

Total number of books = 70(Y+10) = 80Y

→ 70Y+700 = 80Y

→ 10Y = 700

→ Y = 70.

STUDENTS GET 70 BOOKS EACH ..

TOTAL NO. OF BOOKS =80×70=5600...
