Let the adjacent sides be 5y and 3y.

We know that perimeter of a rectangle is 2(l+b)

Perimeter= 80m
Length=5y
Breadth=3y

2(5y + 3y ) = 80
16y = 80
y=5

Length= 5*5 = 25m
Breadth= 3*5 = 15m

Thank you.
Hope it helps you.

Given :- Ratio of measures of two adjacent sides of a rectangle are in the ratio 5 : 3

Let the common multiple be x

So, let the length be 5x and breadth be 3x

Given, perimeter is 80m

We know that, Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

According to the given condition,

2(length + breadth) = Perimeter

∴ 2(5x + 3x) = 80

∴ 10x + 6x = 80

∴ 16x = 80

∴ x = 5

∴ Length ➾ 5x

➾ 5 × 5

\boxed{\tt{25m}}

∴ Breadth ➾ 3x

➾ 3 × 5

\boxed{\tt{15m}}
