  • We have to evaluate the above expression by using the given data.

              Given data:- 19,23,2,25,17.

              To find:- Median of given data.

              Solution:-

  • To find the median first we have to arrange the given term in ascending order.

          =>2,17,19,23,25 \text {. }

  • Here a number of observations are n=5.

        since n is odd

  • The formula of Median is,

         $$\text { median }=\left(\frac{n+1}{2}\right)$$

          \begin{array}{l}\text { median }=\frac{5+1}{2} \\\text { median }=\frac{6}{2} \\\text { median }=3 .\end{array}

       Therefore, we will get a median that is 19.

Given: The numbers are19,23,2,25,17.

We have to find the median of the above numbers.

  • As we know that the median is the central number of a data set.
  • We have to arrange data points from smallest to largest and locate the central number.
  • Then the central number will be the median.

We are solving in the following way:

We have,

The numbers are19,23,2,25,17.

Arranging the numbers from smallest to the larget:

2,17,19,23,25

There are a total of five numbers so, the third number will be the median.

So, 19is the median.

Hence, the median of the above numbers is19.
