we know that
Median = n/2 and n/2+1. (even)
= 10/2 and 10/2+1
= 5 and 6
= x+1 and x+3
given median = 12
i.e. x+1/2 + x+3/2 = 12
2x + 4 = 12*2
2x = 24-4
2x = 20
x = 10

i think in question ghee median is 22
then the answer is 40
becoz 40+1/2+40+3/2= 41+43/2= 44/2 =22
