The meiocyte  of rice should be 2n & chromosomes 24 in number hence gamete cells is half of the(n) so in gamete it will results to 12 chromosomes(n)
Hence chromosomes in endosperm is (3n)=3×12=36 number of chromosomes in endosperm.

36 chromosomes are present in its endosperm.

Explanation:

A meiocyte is a "diploid (2n) cell", which undergoes reductional division (meiosis) to produce "four haploid (n) gametes".

Endosperm of flowering plants (such as the rice plant) is triploid (3n), due to the "fusion of a male gamete" (n) with the secondary nucleus (2n) during double fertilization. Therefore, if a diploid meiocyte (2n) has 24 chromosomes, its haploid gametes (n) would have "12 chromosomes" and the triploid endosperm (3n) would have 36 chromosomes.
