1. d
Ag & Hg are less reactive than copper.

adding sodium - it would ignite before it could react.

Fe is more reaction than copper and would displace it to combine with the sulphate ion, thereby separating copper.
2.Answer: D - p-electrons in CI(Z = 17)
No.of d electrons Fe+2 6(3d6)

no.of p electrons in Ne is 6(2p6),
no.of s electrons in Mg is 6(1s2,2s2,3s2)
no.of d electrons in Fe is 6 (d6)
no.of p electrons in Ci is 11(2p6,3p5)
3. smelting

For no. 1 it is (Fe) it could also be Na sodium but it will be dangerous.

For no. 2 it is Cl(Z=17)

For no. 3 it is smelting (thanks leonaidas23)

durekhan123: sorry u answer late
surender824: its fine no problem leonaidas23 helped in no. 3
