Highest frequency 17 is a modal class.

modal class - ( 30 - 40 )

Option ( C ) correct.

Greater than cumulative frequency of

20 - 30 is 40

Option ( d ) is correct.

I hope this helps you.

Dear Student,

Solution:

As we know that the class having highest frequency is known as modal class.

So, in the given data highest frequency is of 30-40 class and that is 17.

Modal class = 30-40 ( option c)

Cumulative Frequency: The frequency of each class adding previous Frequencies.

class -------------------- Frequency-----------CF

0-10 ------------------------ 7 ------------------ 7

10-20 ---------------------- 15 ----------------- 22

20-30 -----------------------13----------------- 35

30-40----------------------- 17 -----------------52

40-50 ----------------- 10------------------62

So, CF of class 20-30 is 35 ( option b)
